Terms of Service

Plain-language terms for using Appliqué Maker. Last updated 10 September 2026.

1. The service

Appliqué Maker (“the service”) is operated by Allegro Digital (“we”). It converts artwork you supply into embroidery machine files, cut files, previews and reports, and offers free viewing and conversion tools. The free tier runs entirely in your browser. Pro downloads are generated on our servers from the outline of your artwork.

2. Accounts and payment

Accounts are created with an email address. Paid plans are billed by Polar Software Inc., our merchant of record, who handle payment, tax and invoices under their own terms. You can cancel at any time from the customer portal; access continues until the end of the paid period. Prices are shown in US dollars; local VAT or sales tax is added at checkout where it applies. Refunds are described in the refund policy.

3. Your content and licence to output

You keep all rights to artwork you upload and to every file the service generates from it. You confirm you have the right to use the artwork. Output may be used for personal or commercial purposes, including selling finished items and digital files, with no attribution required. Bundled fonts are licensed under the SIL Open Font License or Apache 2.0; see the fonts page.

4. Acceptable use

Do not use the service to infringe others' rights, to overload it with automated traffic, or to attempt to bypass the paid features. We may suspend accounts that do.

5. No warranty on stitch results

The stitch-out prediction is an estimate produced by a physical model. Embroidery outcomes depend on your machine, stabiliser, fabric, thread and technique. We do not guarantee that a design stitches cleanly. Test on scrap fabric first.

6. Liability

To the extent permitted by law, our liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. We are not liable for indirect losses such as ruined garments, lost sales or lost time.

7. Changes and termination

We may change the service or these terms; material changes are announced on the changelog and by email to subscribers. You may delete your account at any time from the account page, which removes your projects.
