What the studio does
Drop an SVG or PNG, or type a name, set the size and the satin width, and the studio digitises the three layers every applique needs: a running-stitch placement line where the fabric goes, a tack-down that holds the fabric while it is trimmed, and a satin border that covers the raw edge. The satin is laid at 0.40 mm same-rail spacing with underlay and pull compensation, the values measured in commercial designs.
Alongside the stitch file it writes the cut file for Cricut, ScanNCut or Silhouette with an allowance derived from the satin width, the fabric and how carefully the piece will be placed, and a 1:1 template to print. The stitch-out prediction is a physical model of where the fabric edge will end up under the satin; it tells you whether the border will cover the edge before you cut anything.
Analysis, previews and the template are free. Machine files (PES, DST, JEF, EXP, VP3, XXX, PEC) and cut files (SVG, DXF) download with Pro.
